Description

An optical circulator is a passive optical device that directs light in a specific direction. It consists of multiple ports, and light entering any of the ports is directed to the next port in a predetermined direction. Circulators are typically used in optical communications systems to separate signals travelling in different directions on the same optical fiber, and to allow multiple signals to share the same optical path without interference.
